5 Weekend Reads For International Women’s Day
The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day calls for equality. "An equal world is an enabled world." Being enabled, being empowered, and being allowed to take up space is one of the many challenges experienced by women today. It’s also the central theme of the five books we’re going to recommend. Celebrate your unique stories! Curl up for some weekend reading and light your favorite Embla Home candle and celebrate the stories we need to hear.
1. The Little Book of Feminist Saints by Julia Pierpont
This is book is a great way of getting to know a little more those household names you know and love, like Frida Kahlo, Amelia Earhart Michelle Obama, as well as names you should know like WWII lieutenant and scientist Grace Hopper.

4. Big Bones by Laura Dockrill
Show yourself some self-love and self-appreciation with this coming-of-age novel as Bluebelle, aka BB, aka Bigbones, tackles her relationship with her food, her family, her body, and herself.
